My Journey as a PAAM Systems Franchisee

1. What does the local market look like in your area?

The market is large. The work has begun, and we’ve entered several sectors over the years, working to help more customers as soon as possible. I see great potential in my work.

2. What are your long-term goals for the franchise?

My goal is to run a business where my work helps as many people as possible with everyday problems. To help PAAM reach as many customers as possible with their products, making life easier for them.

3. What does a typical workday look like for you?

A day involves a lot of planning and streamlining. I start the day by reviewing my scheduled meetings/services and replying to emails, or alternatively making some calls to customers. After that, I drive my van to the customers and facilities I’ve planned for. I carry out the tasks and log them in our internal system, then wrap up the day with financial management and invoicing.

4. What are the biggest challenges in running this franchise?

When running a franchise, there’s a lot to handle in a short time during the startup phase. Everything is new, and you need to work in certain established ways that are unfamiliar to you. Beyond that, I find it fantastic as there are clear guidelines for almost everything you work with.

5. Are there any hidden costs you didn’t anticipate?

Naturally, it’s not free to start a business that already has established customers, products, and processes. I underestimated the costs for tools and the spare parts inventory that you need to have.

6. What did the training process look like before you started your business?

The foundation of the training is self-learning. It is your responsibility to get a grasp of what the business will work with and how it will operate through a digital guide provided by PAAM. Of course, you can get help if you ask and receive walkthroughs along the way.

7. How does communication between you and the franchisor work?

If everything goes as it should, there are clear communication channels that we use for the business’s operations. If it’s about contractual matters, I contact the franchisor directly.

8. What kind of ongoing support and resources does the franchisor provide?

It’s clearly stated in the contract and the information shared. I have support and assistance through the Operational Licensor when needed, and there are training sessions six times a year provided by the franchisor.

9. What do you think of the support you get from the franchisor?

It’s great.
